| Based on Aeschylus's Orestes, (wish) is the story of a woman who secretly harbors a desire for her aging mothers death, and the guilt she suffers as a result. Written by Mechanicals company member Eric Siegel and co-staged by Siegel and choreographer Pam Tanowitz (Open 24 Hours Dance Company), (wish) nimbly slides between the contemporary world and the world of Greek myth as it examines the consequences of desire and the nature of guilt. Mechanicals company member Helen P. Coxe (Side Man, As Bees In Honey Drown) and Irma St. Paul (Endgame with Kathleen Chalfant) star. |
